My name is Therese Annette Davern, so anything I create is a TAD Original. I was born in upstate NY and was raised on a dairy farm. I am the 7th child in a large family, and right behind me was my twin sister, Tracy (aka Tagtwin). Three years later, a baby sister joined us all, so in total, there are 9 children. My parents weren’t the wealthiest people, so we had to make do with our imaginations while growing up. Playing HOUSE with a BABY and cutting out babies from catalogs as paper dolls were my favorite things to do. My twin sister and I could spend hours playing paper dolls with our babies. I have always loved babies and baby dolls. As I grew older, my favorite pastime was either drawing or coloring in the coloring books we would get each year at Christmas. The baby dolls stopped coming, the coloring books did not. Never did I realize that all that coloring would help in my quest to reborn the most realistic baby doll ever. I’m still learning and growing, but soon, I hope to create the most realistic baby ever.
I discovered Reborn Baby Dolls through my twin sister, Taggie of Wee Woodland Sprites. She showed me one that she had reborned and I was fascinated by the realism in it . . . not to mention that I was so impressed that she made an adorable baby doll! I wanted to make one too. On a visit home to see Taggie, she taught me all she knew and let me reborn a little 8” Berenguer. Upon returning home, I researched all there was to the art of Reborning and studied all the reborns on ebay. I was addicted in a flash! The rest is history! August 9th was my third year anniversary of creating Reborn Baby Dolls.
I hope to always continue to grow and learn in this wonderful art of reborning life like baby dolls!
