As an 8-year-old child, I remember playing with my Madame Alexander baby doll. I remember slitting her mouth open so she could take a bottle, painting her nails so they looked more like mine, and cutting her pretty white hair. I guess you could say I have been reborning since I was 8.
What I like most about reborning is the nostalgic feelings I get when I am done reborning a baby - feeling like I am 8 years old again. I like the looks my babies get when I am strolling them down the mall. I like being able to incorporate all of the doll-making skills I have learned over the last 30 years, from sculpting the inner eye, painting the true-to-life skin tones, designing and creating each snuggly doll body, and re-creating a beautiful head of reborn hair.
