Hi and thank you for taking time to get to know me and my Nursery! My name is Susan and I am the artist behind Lullaby Lane Studio (formerly known as Lullaby Lane Nursery).
I have been reborning since October 2006 and I am having the time of my life! I have found that all of the arts and crafts that I worked on from age 7 to now were preparing me this "life art"! I was very lucky to have artistic genes on both sides of my family and parents that encouraged me to explore the world of art. We had very little extra cash for vacations or activities when I was growing up so my family's idea of "entertainment" was taking painting materials and a picnic with us on hikes through the woods. My father taught me to sew when I was only 10 and I have been sewing ever since.
I am an avid collector and was a dealer of antique dolls for many years and have sold many, many of my hand-made antique reproduction doll outfits, hats and bonnets on eBay & eBay is where I was introduced to the art of reborning.
Reborning has allowed me to combine my love of beautiful dolls with my artistic ability. I am enjoying this art more than anything I have done thus far. It is absolutely amazing to see the transformation that occurs during this process and the excitement and joy that goes into creating each baby is incomparable to any other accomplishment in my life (besides, obviously, giving birth to my own two children!).
