Hello =)
My name is Sabrina Lee. I am the artist behind Angioletto Nursery. A mother of a very beautiful dark hair baby girl Isabella. She is the main reason why I started this beautiful work of art, plus the fact that I love any kind of art that one can turn a blank (could be yarn, a piece of paper, clay... and so on) into a beautiful piece of work.
Well, I am not the kind of person who will go into ebay to search for things, but after my baby was born, I was home bound. Partly because of the cold weather, and also she is too young and has not taken all her shot, that I do not feel safe to bring her out to the public. So, I spend my days looking at ebay auction. I am not a doll person per se, but I do like some victorian porcelain dolls with their exquisite gown and shoes. So while I was searching for dolls, I came acrossed some very lifelike babies and my first thought were, "Are they real?" "Is it legal to sell babies online?" And so I click on the listing and try to find out more. Only to see that they are dolls and a very lifelike beautiful kind, not only that.... one can actually learn to paint and style the hair anyhow they want. After many many searching and learning more about this form of art, I say to myself, " I can do it, it's not that hard"... HA! wrong! It is not as easy as it looks.
Now after reborning for a year and some months, I am still learning. There is always something new to explore. Not only I have to give the right amount of paint as not too shiny or chalky, but the color have to be right so the baby does not look blue/ pink/ yellow/ or stain. And on top of that, I have rooting hair to learn... photography in terms of sharpness and pose, so the baby don't look flat lying there with their nose facing up. And packaging. Packaging to me is very important, so is communication. All this is what makes a good artist, they are not learn overnight. Hence, I am always learning to improve my skill.
Lastly, what give me joy about this work of art is that, although I am always overwhelmed with fear whenever I list my baby online. The little note I get from the new mommy is what makes it all worth while. =)
